Artist Statement & Biography

Biography: Sam is studying in Birmingham City University fine art. He also has studied stage and set design in higher diploma. Art is a way for him to allow him to express opinions and emotions. He is interested in explore interpersonal relationship. Nowadays, people are being indifferent and easy to ignore things around us. His work is trying to connect with stranger. The following artwork conveying messages are his feelings for strangers and feelings for strangers.

Statement: Sam's work is about connect strangers. Most of Hong Kong people are refused to contact strangers. This may be because it is dangerous for us to teach strangers from an early age. So we will not actively contact strangers. As a result, society has become more and more indifferent. His works are trying to make people less wary of strangers and let people understand that strangers are not imagined in danger.
